Unemployment rate in August

In August this year, the unemployment rate was 7,1%, as indicated by the estimates of the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy. Compared to the same period last year, its level is 1.3 points lower (it was 8.4%, then).

At the end of August this year, 1 137,3 thousand people were registered in the labour offices – according to the estimates of the Ministry.

Decrease in unemployment rate in August this year was recorded in 4 voivodships. In 10 voivodships the unemployment rate has not changed. The lowest unemployment rate is recorded in Wielkopolska (4.1%).

In August this year, employers put in 152,2 thousand offers of employment and activation to labour offices.
