In Barcelona (Spain), the Jury of the “Fighting for the family” award presented Minister Elżbieta Rafalska with an award in the international category for the implementation of the “Family 500 plus” programme in Poland.
It has been recognised as an important tool of family policy and at the same time direct help for families with children. According to the Jury, this initiative is particularly valuable in Europe, which faces a severe demographic decline.
“I am very pleased with this award,” Minister Rafalska said. “This is a recognition not only for me but for everyone who prepared and introduced the 'Family 500 plus' programme. This is noticing a groundbreaking measure that has not only changed the face of pro-family policy in Poland but also directly influenced the situation of millions of Polish families.”
The award is given by the Catalonia-ONU Platform for Families, which brings together
pro-family, social, educational and welfare organisations, working for families, promoting and defending family values.
