Social Committee of the Council of Ministers

The first meeting of the Social Committee led by Deputy Prime Minister Beata Szydło raised the topic of demographics. 

The number of births increased primarily in the rates for second and third child by order of birth said Minister Rafalska during the Committee commenting on data by Central Statistical Office (GUS).

The role of the Committee is to initiate and coordinate activities aimed at improving the situation of families in Poland. Apart from Deputy Prime Minister Beata Szydło other members of the Social Committee are: Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy, Minister of National Education, Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Minister of Science and Higher Education, Minister of the Interior and Administration, Minister of Justice, Minister of Health, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Minister of Sport and Tourism, Minister of Finance and Secretary of European Affairs.
