Minister Rafalska appointed the new President of the ZUS

On 11 February, Prof. Gertruda Uścińska was appointed the President of the Polish Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) by Prime Minister Beata Szydło. The appointment was presented by Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy, Elżbieta Rafalska.

According to the amended Act on pensions from the FUZ (Health Insurance Fund), the nomination for the President of the ZUS is presented by Minister for Family, Labour and Social Policy to the Supervisory Board of the Institution. After evaluating the candidate, the Prime Minister appoints the President of the ZUS.
