The Polish and French models of family policies are the main subject of the meeting of Minister Elżbieta Rafalska and Deputy Minister Renata Szczęch with Laurence Rossignol, Minister of Families, Children and Women's Rights of the French Republic.
Minister Elżbieta Rafalska presented information on the Family 500+ Programme, indicating its main objectives, including higher birth rate, investment in human capital and reduction of poverty among the youngest. She indicated that around 3.7 million children raised in 2.7 million families will benefit from the programme, of which 30% families will receive benefits for the first child.
Minister Laurence Rossignol talked about the amount of family benefits in France and the French aid instruments for large families, while the Polish side introduced the guest to the Large Family Card.
The meeting provided an opportunity to learn the mechanisms and solutions in the field of family policy functioning in France and Poland.
