On 9 March, Minister Elżbieta Rafalska met with the Vice-President of the European Commission, Valdis Dombrovskis.
The main topic of the talks were the actions of the Government in the context of the European semester and implementation of detailed recommendations for Member States.
Minister Rafalska pointed out the favourable situation on the Polish labour market, as evidenced by improving indicators. She also explained the premises and discussed the effects of some of the reforms introduced by the Government (including the 500+ programme or lowering the retirement age) in the context of the EC's doubts about their potential impact on the labour market.
