Today, President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, appointed Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy, Elżbieta Rafalska, and Deputy Minister Stanisław Szwed, who is in charge of social dialogue at the Ministry, to the Social Dialogue Council.
The Social Dialogue Council replaced the Tripartite Commission for Socio-Economic Affairs. The presidency in the Council is subject to the principle of rotation in office. Parties of employees and employers of the councils have the opportunity to draft legislation, submit requests for public hearings and inquiries to the appropriate ministers. They can also apply to the Supreme Court to settle a legal issue.
