Higher pensions in March

In March this year, the retirees and pensioners whose benefits are up to PLN 2 thousand will receive a one-time bonus of up to PLN 400. The act introducing this solution was signed on Friday, 12 February, by the President of the Republic of Poland.

As in 2016 the indexation of pensions will be at a low level, the government decided to pay one-time bonuses to the lowest benefits. The act introducing this solution will come into force on 1 March and the money will be paid with the March benefits.

Additional support for people collecting low benefits is introduced by the Act on one-time financial bonus for some retirees, pensioners and people collecting pre-retirement benefits, pre-retirement allowances, bridging pensions or teachers' compensation benefits in 2016. Thanks to the act, people whose benefits are below PLN 2 thousand will receive the bonus of up to PLN 400.
