As much as 445.5 thousand people took parental leave from January to May in 2018.


Minimum wage goes up


In accordance with the government's proposal, the minimum wage for 2019 may amount to PLN 2220. It is 5.7%, and PLN 120, more than today. From January the minimum hourly rate for those working based on specific civil law contracts is to increase from PLN 13.70 to PLN 14.50. The government presented this proposal to the Social Dialogue Council for negotiation.


The Codification Commission ends its work


Chairman of the Commission, Marcin Zieleniecki, the Deputy State Secretary, Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy announced during the press briefing that Codification Commission of Labour Law passed the resolution on adopting two legislations: Labour Code and Collective Labour Law Code.


Minimum wage goes up


In 2018, the minimum wage for work will amount to PLN 2100. That is 5% and at the same time PLN 100 more than currently.

The Manifesto of the Future of Work was announced during the annual Lewiatan Summer Meeting, which took place on 13 July this year. 


New Codification Commission of Labour Law


Today, 14 members of the new Codification Commission of Labour Law were appointed. Its purpose is, among others, to produce drafts of codes: individual and collective labour law.


New Labour Code to be created


The Regulation of the Council of Ministers concerning the Codification Commission of Labour Law entered into force on 1 September 2016. The task of the Commission will be to prepare drafts of the Labour Code and the Code of Collective Labour Law.
