In January 2017, a minimum hourly rate of PLN 13 was introduced for those working under specific contracts of mandate and service contracts. This amount will be adjusted annually to reflect any increases in the minimum wage.


The introduced regulation protects lowest-wage workers. Its purpose is to eliminate situations in which a person working under a civil law contract earns significantly less than the minimum wage paid to an employee.
