Higher benefits for disabled people and their carers

The Council of Ministers adopted a regulation on increasing benefits for families. The assistance allowance will increase for the first time in 12 years. The benefits for carers of people with disabilities, which have not been increased since their introduction, will also be higher.

Financial support for the disabled

System of assistance for disabled persons

The system of support for disabled people and their families will be based on three pillars. The first pillar consists of a solidarity support fund for people with disabilities. More support for disabled persons

In 2017, the PiS government allocated a record PLN 17.4 billion to support disabled persons and their caretakers. It is over PLN 2.85 billion more than in 2015. The increase in budget expenses allows for satisfying a wider range of needs of disabled persons and their caretakers.
