EDITION 2018/2019

SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS FOR REGISTRATIONS IN THE EDITION OF THE PROGRAM WORK AND HOLIDAY AUSTRALIA 2018/2019 IS POSSIBLE ONLY BY THE ELECTRIC FORM.

ACCORDING TO AGREEMENT,

FROM 1 OCTOBER 2017 VISA LIMIT FOR CITIZENS OF THE REPUBLIC OF POLAND AND AUSTRALIA INTERESTED IN TAKING PART IN THE PROGRAM HAS BEEN INCREASED TO 500.

 

The Work and Holiday Visa Arrangement offers young Polish citizens the possibility to go to Australia for up to one year.

 

 ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

 

The principal purpose of the stay should be a holiday but the visa also opens up the possibility to work.

 

Polish citizens who apply for a visa under the Program should:

1. Intend primarily to holiday in Australia for a period of up to twelve (12) calendar months;

2. Be at least eighteen (18) years of age but have not turned thirty one (31) at the time of

application for a visa;

3. Not be accompanied by dependent children;

4. Hold a valid passport issued not earlier than ten (10) years before applying for a visa, having at least two (2) blank pages and valid at least ninety (90) days after the end of the planned stay;

5. Have a return or onward travel ticket, or sufficient funds to purchase such a ticket;

6. Possess sufficient funds for personal support;

7. Meet health requirements as specified by Polish and Australian laws and purchase medical and comprehensive hospital care insurance;

8. Have not previously taken part in the ‘Work and Holiday’ or ‘Working Holiday’ programme;

9. Hold tertiary qualifications, or have successfully completed at least two (2) years of undergraduate university study;

10.and have a level of proficiency in English which is assessed as at least functional;

11. Provide a letter of intent from the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy of Poland confirming the acknowledgement of the applicant’s intention to participate in the Work and Holiday Programme and his declaration of the fulfilment of all requirements specified in the Memorandum of Understanding.

 

HOW TO APPLY

 

The letter of intent is issued by INTERNSTIONAL COOPERATION DEPARTMENT.

 

You can apply by online form -  link is at the top of the page.

 

In the online application you must fill in: name/names, surname, date and place of birth, as well as the series and number of the passport.

 

In the application form, you are oblige to declare that you meet the conditions for participation in the Program.

Warning! The applicant is responsible for providing correct data.

 

 

TERMS OF APPLYING

 

According to Memorandum of Understanding between Poland and Australia on a Work and Holiday Visa Arrangement – from the 1 of October 2017 the yearly visa cap for young Polish citizens planning to participate in the Program is 500 visas.

 

After limit of 2018/19 edition is reached, the information will be published on the Ministerial webpage.  No applications will be approved once the annual 500 visa limit is reached.

 

Any application sending after the time will result with loosing documents and any visa costs. You should wait until the following year to lodge an application.

 AFTER YOU HAVE SENT YOUR APPLICATIONS

 

 “Letter of Intent” will be issued within 7 days from the date of application lodgement (the date of receipt by the Ministry by 16:00 in the given day is taken into the consideration).

 *WARNING! GRANTED LETTER DOES NOT GUARANTEE THE VISA PLACE WITHIN THE PROGRAM!

 

HOW TO COLLECT THE LETTER

 

Applicants must indicate in the forms the preferable way of the letter claim.
 

It depends on selection: 

a) Letters can be sent back to applicant by post but only under the address in Poland (*the letter is sent with acknowledgment of receipt). *NOTE! It may be the address of your friend/ family (so called “mailing address”), but the person must be authorized by you to receive the letter

 

b) Applicants may collect their letters personally

 

c) Letters may be also collect by authorized person *NOTE! this person should bring the authorization from applicant (in writing), where there will be applicant data (including applicants name, address and passport number) and the data of the authorized person (name, address, number of ID or passport), and applicants signature, and the authorized person should provide  the authorization document as well as to show the document (ID or passport).

WHERE TO APPLY FOR VISA

 

 *WARNING! THE MINISTRY DOES NOT MEDIATE IN ANY ISSUE THE VISAS PROCEDURE

 

Ministry is only responsible for issuing “Letter of Intent”. As the Letter is mentioned by Australian side as one of the criterion  to obtain a visa by Polish citizens within the Program.

 

The rest of the procedure is carried out by Australian authorities, so applicants must follow the guidelines of Australian Embassy in Berlin or contact the European Client Service Center in London

 

Applicants who reached  Letter of Intent should apply for visa at the Australian Embassy in Berlin
