On July 27th, 2017, the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Poland and the Government of the Republic of Chile on a Working Holiday Programme, signed in Warsaw on April 28th, 2017, entered into force.
Benefits of the Programme
The Working Holiday Programme is dedicated for young citizens of the Republic of Poland and the Republic of Chile who are at least eighteen(18) years of age but have not turned thirtyone (31) and gives them the opportunity for a yearly stay. The idea is to combine holidaying and learning about the culture and way of life in the visited country with a possibility to undertake paid employment of an incidental nature, while the main aspect of the stay will be tourism.
Requirements for participants of the Programme
Citizens of the Republic of Poland and the Republic of Chile who intend to participate in the Programme, must satisfy the conditions listed below:
a) declare in writing that they intend to stay in the receiving country primarily for the purpose of enhancing the knowledge of the language and culture, with employment not being a primary reason for the visit;
b) are aged between eighteen (18) and thirty (30) years, both inclusive, at the time of application;
c) are not accompanied by dependants;
d) have a valid passport, issued not earlier than ten (10) years before applying for a visa, having at least two (2) blank pages which remains valid for a period not shorter than three (3) months after the end of the planned stay;
e) have a return ticket or sufficient funds to purchase such a ticket;
f) present documents proving the possession of necessary funds to cover his/her maintenance during the period of stay in the receiving country, in the amount specified in accordance with applicable laws and regulations of the receiving country;
g) pay the prescribed temporary visa application and processing fee;
h) have health insurance required under laws and regulations applicable in the receiving country, that will be valid throughout his/her stay;
i) have not yet participated in the Scheme;
j) submit a signed statement showing the non-existence of the criminal record.
Visa procedures for citizens of the Republic of Poland
Persons who intend to participate in the Programme may submit their visa applications in the Embassy of the Republic of Chile in Warsaw. Information on visa procedures may be obtained by e-mail or by phone.
